More Celebration

Mary threw a great party! The programming was awesome, there was plenty to do, and I think I heard only one fan complaining the whole time. Special thanks to Cyndi and Nancy, who kept me in the loop and got me free stuff!
Costumes. I decided that I wasn’t going to take pictures of costumes, but caved pretty quickly. Why do people want to be pregnant Padme? Or white Clones-outfit Padme? There were some pretty creative, scary and mystifying costumes. I didn’t take that many pictures, but here are some.
French stormtroopers, wearing berets:

There should be a law: no male slave Leias:

And then, of course, there are people who view this as an opportunity to dress up, and wear something that has absolutely no connection to Star Wars:

I wandered through the fan hall a couple times. First time I caught the Jedi training – little kids don Jedi robes and learn lightsaber moves. Then, each gets to fight Darth Vader. It was too cute beyond words.

Also, fans were also building an awesome Endor forest diorama. I didn’t take any pictures of this, because my camera battery died. Grr.
Finally, an assortment of Vader helmets:
